Jesse & Samantha recently completed our 12-week online business and marketing course for creative makers.

In a world of over-information and over-stimulation, Al & Imo’s course is a truly unique offering that cuts through the noise. The course will help you with your business and, no doubt, your personal life and that work/life balance. They teach you things that it takes years to learn and set you up to make better, more considered products, services and decisions.

  • Stuck in a bit of a 'business rut' and close to burnout, we knew we needed to inject some fresh perspective to our business outlook. As long time followers of Al & Imo, seeing the progression of their business and their similar values to ours, doing a business course structured by them was a no-brainer.

  • It's hard to pick just one most valuable item to take from the course but for us, the weekly meetings and check ins have been game-changing. Too often the core business items can be taken for granted and overlooked. Ensuring we check in with each other, what we are doing, where we are at and what we have coming up is pivotal to keep the business growing in the trajectory we want it to.

  • Since completing the course we have overhauled some of our marketing collateral, aligning it with where our business is positioned and reducing the email workload of enquiries by providing potential clients/customers the information they commonly request upfront. We have also run a successful open night at our workshop, raising awareness of our product range and showing prospective clients our work in person, where they can get the best sense of our quality and craftsmanship.

  • The weekly Q&A with Al, Imo and other makers was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the course. It allowed us to ask questions regarding the material, but also hear where the other makers were at, what they were experiencing and to add in our input, which collectively provided a really informative forum.
